Introduction: 

This course will introduce you to and examine different instructional models and strategies.  You will learn about  approaches to instruction and learning outcomes that can be linked to these approaches.  For this course, you will also be looking at theorist in the field of Instructional Design and Technology

Description:

  • Creation of concept map

  • Interview with a theorist in the field of Instructional Design and Technology

  • Examination of different instructional models

  • Identification of instructional model that describes your environment

  • Examination of a variety of learning approaches to instruction and learning outcomes that can be linked to these approaches

  • Examination of instructional strategies to identify the ones prevalent in your environment

  • Creation of instructional model that best illustrates your work environment

  • Compilation of newly created instructional models to create one combined model

  • Exploration and creation of timeline to show the relationship between instructional design, instructional technology and distance learning

  • Creation of a case study geared towards your peers which will allow them to complete the learning outcomes within their own current environment.
