Reflection on the Course

Getting to this stage of the course has not been an easy one, the most challenging aspects of this course were time management, writing a paper at the masters level adhering to the APA format and trusting my own abilities.  I think that with every passing of a course I have made progress in all three areas but that there is still much room for improvement.

Although all of the courses afforded me some opportunity to learn about some aspect of Technology and or Technology Integration (as I have highlighted in my reflection for all the subsets of the field)  The most rewarding courses to me were the ones that afforded me the opportunity to learn about and experiment with a physical technology/tool that I could integrate into my environment.  These courses gave me the zeal to continue, I enjoyed learning about new technology that I could integrate into my environment and there was also a level of expectation that a new technology would be introduced in the next course.  Two courses stand out to me one from each phase of the course, EDID6506 in phase one and EDID6508 in the second phase, in both of these courses we had to create websites into which we had to upload many other artifacts created using other physical technology tools.  Completing the websites were very taxing, but doing something I have grown to love made the process enjoyable. I truly believe that these courses were the saving grace of this entire course.  Bellow I have included links to the two websites that I created for this course.

This course has provided me with the tools to become a better ICT teacher, I have been able to share with my fellow colleagues my knowledge especially when it comes to physical technology tools and the integration of technology into our daily activities.  One of my greater/more public successes was the creation of my school's website.‘totally inspired by one of the course assignments'

This course has also afforded me the opportunity to be nominated by my school to attend various training sessions most recently a course with the OAS to become a Virtual Tutor in   Intel® Teach – Project-Based Approaches, and Intel® Teach – Collaboration in the Digital Classroom, both of which I believe will add to my portfolio as an instructional designer specializing in Technology - Physical Technologies and Tools and Technology Integration.

The main thing I take away from this course as it comes to an end is some clarity as to the path I want to follow.
